The Indian Pugwash Society invites applications
from Indian citizens to undertake a two-year research project on
“The Emerging Asian Nuclear Order: Implications for India”
supported by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE),
Board of
Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Government of India to be
undertaken at the Society.
The project will analyse the nuclear programs of major Asian
countries including those in India’s neighbourhood and study it
in its regional and geopolitical context.
The project will track the changing global nuclear environment
and its implications for India. This includes keeping track of
the developments at both the institutional level as well as the
normative level of the global nuclear non-proliferation regime.
The primary objective is to collect, collate and disseminate
knowledge about critical developments in this area. |

Candidates applying for SRF should possess at least master
degree in international relations/political science/peace and
conflict resolution and minimum 3 years of research/work
experience.
Candidates applying for JRF should possess at least master
degree in international relations/political science/peace and
conflict resolution and minimum 1 year of research/work
experience
Preference will be given to candidates with proven research
ability and published work.
The selected scholar would be employed on contract basis for two
years and would be entitled to an emolument of Rs.12,000/- as
basic pay (for JRF) and Rs. 14,000/- as basic pay (for SRF) as
per the Fellowships rates and service conditions prescribed by
the DAE. In addition they would be entitled to House Rent
Allowance (HRA) @ 30% of basic pay and Medical Allowance as per
Govt. prescribed rates. No other allowances or accommodation
will be provided.
