Sameer is currently a Doctoral Scholar at Centre for International Politics, Organisation and Disarmament, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. He is currently writing his doctoral thesis on India's nuclear policy decision-making with reference to the NPT and CTBT. His MPhil dissertation was on India's China policy in the 1950s. His areas of interest include realism and other theoretical approaches to international relations, Indian foreign policy, and also dynamics of great power involvement in the Asian continent with particular focus on China.
